Our People 

Our people are highly trained professionals with a specialized skill set and experience necessary for operating in risky, difficult and often extreme environments. They have extensive qualifications and experience in their chosen field and have a background in one or more of the following sectors:

  • Operational risk management and protection
  • Emergency management
  • Defence, police, ambulance or fire brigade
  • Emergency management, crisis response and investigations
  • Conflict and post-conflict operations
  • Relief, development and natural disaster response

Our people are selected for their strong leadership and mentoring skills and their proven ability to achieve results even in hardship.

Our people undergo a rigorous vetting process and are chosen not just for their expertise but for their strong ethics, their cultural sensitivity, and their ability to work as a cohesive team and adapt to and withstand harsh conditions for extended periods.

Wherever possible we provide employment to host country nationals and this allows us to:

  • Build capacity and allow selected individuals to take on high level position
  • Build solid relationships with local communities by injecting cash directly into communities and training the local people in the skills necessary to undertake our projects
